It's hard to say what's most notable at this waterfront restaurant; the scenic views of birds, boats and the nearby lighthouse or the savory flavors that go into the many steak, chicken and seafood dishes. Whether you come by land or by sea, you will find that this Florida beach bar provides a wonderful place to catch a sunset and that the views from this bar are spectacular.
Being the frozen yogurt lover that I am, I was very excited when I heard about a new frozen yogurt shop in Daytona Beach. Rhokkoh’s Frozen Yogurt, located on Beach Street, is only a few months old, but a wonderful addition to the Daytona Beach area. I ventured in on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately impressed with both the atmosphere and variety of frozen yogurt choices available.
The opportunity to relax is one of the best parts about being in a beach area like Daytona. Another nice thing is being able to go out for a meal rather than having to cook one yourself. Although I love to cook, it’s nice to have someone else make the meal while I relax and enjoy the scenery; especially when the food is delicious and the scenery is beautiful. My recent lunch experience at Boondocks offered the perfect balance of relaxing atmosphere and great food.
When the skies are clear, the sun is shining and the hunger pains set in, Caribbean Jack’s Restaurant and Bar in Daytona Beach is the place to be. Named after John "Caribbean Jack" Gilbert, a famous prohibition rumrunner, Caribbean Jack’s offers an excellent choice of rum concoctions, awesome food and a beautiful view of the Halifax River.
Blocks away from our dining destination, my fellow foodie and I found ourselves inhaling the intoxicating aromas of slow-cooked scrumptious barbeque. We were salivating as we neared our upcoming meal. Nothing recharges the body after a day in the sun like some good ole’ Southern slow-cooked barbeque.
In hot sauté pan, sauté garlic, salmon and snapper pieces until fish is nearly done. Add heavy cream and bring to a boil.
